The United Arab Emirates, with a population of around 10 million across seven federated emirates, is one of the most international Muslim societies in the world — Emirati citizens form roughly 12% of the population, with the remainder drawn from across South Asia, the Arab world, the Philippines, East Africa, and Western diaspora.
