We don't run analytics, we don't profile you, and we don't set cookies of our own. Here is exactly what happens when you visit Islamic Prayer Times — and what doesn't.
Effective date · May 2026Islamic Prayer Times is a static, public website. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter, no advertising, and no behavioural tracking. We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party analytics product.
What we do need is a rough idea of where you are so we can calculate the correct Salah times for your city. That is the one piece of personal data this site processes, and we do it in the minimum way required.
Your approximate location. When you load the homepage, our server reads your IP-derived city, country, latitude and longitude from request headers our hosting provider (Vercel) attaches automatically — the same way every website infers location. If those headers are missing (e.g. during local development) we make one outbound call to a free public IP geolocation service (geojs.io) as a fallback. Your approximate location is used only to compute prayer times for that request and is not written to any database we control.
Your precise location, if you opt in. Some pages offer a "Use my location" button. If you accept the browser's permission prompt, your device's GPS-grade coordinates are sent to our backend to compute prayer times for your exact spot. The coordinates are not stored — they exist for the length of one HTTP request.
Standard server logs. Vercel records the URL you visited, response status, user-agent, and a timestamp for every request. These rotate automatically and are used to diagnose errors — not to build a profile of you.
We do not ask for and do not store: your name, email, phone number, prayer history, browsing history within the site, fitness data, contacts, calendar, microphone, camera, or anything similar. The contact form on /contact only collects what you type into it.
A small number of third parties touch your request as part of delivering the site:
If you are in the EU, UK, California, or any other jurisdiction with comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, and to object to its processing. Because we don't store personal data, those rights are easy to exercise here — there is nothing to delete.
If you believe this is incorrect — for example, if you wrote to us via the contact form and would like us to delete that record — email us at contact@islamicprayerstimes.com and we will respond within 30 days.
This site is suitable for Muslims of all ages. Because we do not collect identifying information from anyone, we don't make a distinction between adult and child users — but we also don't knowingly profile minors or anyone else.
The site is served over HTTPS. There is no user database to protect because there are no user accounts. Server-side logs sit inside Vercel's infrastructure and inherit their security controls.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page changes whenever we do. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle data, we will say so in plain language at the top of the page.
Questions about this policy? Email contact@islamicprayerstimes.com or use the contact form. JazakAllah Khayr for reading.
Trust is amanah.
We treat your visit as such.
